The Aquaness ARBREAK™ 8143X is used on emulsions of the water-in-oil type and works by counteracting the stabilizing influence of naturally present emulsifying agents. ARB8143X demulsifier is classified as a nonionic surface-active organic chemical that will not interact with ionic-type chemicals. It may exhibit antifoaming characteristics when used in gas-cut emulsions. ARB8143X demulsifier has been used effectively throughout the United States and the world in the treatment of many crude oils. ARB8143X demulsifier is generally used in dilute form in aromatic solvent or blended with chemicals of different generic structure to give synergistic formulas which may have greater efficiency. Emulsion breakers containing ARB8143X demulsifier are usually added by chemical pump at the wellhead or ahead of gas or water knockouts of treating systems. The emulsion being treated generally dictates the treating ratio.
