ARBREAK™ 8241 is a polyalkylene glycol, which is non-ionic in character. ARB8241 works by counteracting naturally occurring emulsifiers. ARB8241 has been found to be particularly effective when used in low salt water brine or in fresh water emulsions. In these cases, ARB8241 is often formulated with sulfonates or used as is. ARB8241 is stable to hydrolysis. ARB8241 exhibits exceptional ability to lower interfacial tension and, as a result, has a high degree of wetting activity. For this reason, ARB8241 can effectively disperse or deflocculate solids.
