The S1X-HP is a double-grip tension or compression-set production packer that can be landed in tension, compression, or neutral position. A large internal bypass reduces the swabbing effect during run-in and retrieval, and then closes when the packer is set. Once set, the packer ensures a tight seal that holds pressure from both above and below.

The S1X-HP includes several features designed to make releasing safe and efficient. When you’re ready to release, the bypass opens to allow the pressure to equalize before the upper slips are released. A sequential, staged-loading upper-slip releasing mechanism also reduces the force required to release the packer.
